This adjunct faculty member teaches courses in the area of Criminal Justice within the College's School of Justice Program.
Duties & Responsibilities•Provides classroom instruction
•Participates in curriculum development and revision
•Assess the curriculum against state and national standards
•Supervises field experiences and/or inernship
•Serves as a resource for faculty members and other program areas
•Serves on school, campus and College committees
•Recruits and advises Criminal Justice Students
•Participates in grant writing and acquisition of external funding for the School of Justice
•Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
•Master's degree in Criminal Justice from a regionally accredited institution or a Master's degree or Juris Doctorate degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice or Public Safety
•All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Three (3) years experience in college or univeristy teaching preferred
•Must possess current knowledge of curriculum and methodology issues in Public Safety and Criminal Justice
•Qualified applicants must demonstrate positive human relationa and communications skills
•Must be willing to work on mutiple campuses/outreach locations
