Description


The Center for Interacting Urban Networks, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to interdisciplinary research centered on the Mobility theme. The theme is closely linked to one of NYU Abu Dhabi s key research impact areas outlined in the Excellence 2030 Strategic Framework: Urban Systems. Specific research areas within the mobility theme include monitoring, modeling, and controlling the operations of multimodal transportation systems, new vehicle technologies, urban mobility, research at the intersection of traditional traffic flow theory and data science, the impact of cybersecurity on transportation systems, and more.


Applicants must have received a PhD in engineering, computer science, urban science, or a related field. Experience in transportation, in particular related to urban science is required. Additionally, excellent communication skills in English, great computational and data management skills, as well as scientific creativity are essential.


The position will also require the ability to collaborate with other researchers on other center themes, such as Fairness and Uncertainty, and contribute to a comprehensive understanding of urban systems.
