Executive Assistant to the President
Chatham University invites applicants for the position of Executive Assistant to the President.
The Executive Assistant to the President provides comprehensive and proactive administrative support to the President's Office, maintaining a high standard of professionalism in a fast-paced, detail driven environment.

Qualifications:
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high visibility office setting requiring great attention to detail, organizational skills, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Professional and responsible demeanor in all manner of situations.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong technology skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
- At least five+ years of relevant experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Presidential Support: Provide high-level administrative support to the President, including managing an intricate calendar, coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements, and ensuring thorough preparation for all meetings. This includes compiling background materials, briefing documents, and agendas, and proactively anticipating and addressing the President's needs to enable seamless daily operations and strategic engagements
- Strategic Office Management: Oversee all aspects of office operations, ensuring a highly organized and efficient environment. Comprehensive knowledge of department procedures and the ability to proactively respond to questions and information requests. Keep records of the office. Supervises the administrative assistant in the office.
- Communications and Relationship Management: Act as a primary contact for the President's Office, answering and screening calls with a comprehensive understanding of university protocols, exercising diplomacy and tact in all communications. Proactively address inquiries and provide essential information to various stakeholders, including senior staff, faculty, students, and outside stakeholders. Attend all Leadership Team meetings, taking notes and records of the meetings and tracking follow-up items.
- Event Planning and Coordination: Play a lead role in coordinating President's Office events, from conceptual planning to execution. Responsibilities include managing catering, setup logistics, seating, parking, invitations, R.S.V.P.s, and event-day troubleshooting (e.g., Board of Trustee meetings, spring Commencement) that may require evening or weekend hours.
Salary Range:
- $55,000.00 - $61,500.00. 40-hour work week. Exact compensation based on candidate skills and experience.
