Job Summary:

The Chair of Business and Industrial Technology is responsible for the management and day to day operations of the Business and Industrial Technology Department. The Chair reports to the reports to the Dean of Educational Programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters’ degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Three years of full-time experience teaching at the college level.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, and walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand, pull, and push. The employee must regularly lift and carry up to 15 pounds and move up to 20 pounds. Requires infrequent stooping, bending, sorting, and filing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Administrative experience as a Program Director, Department Chair or other similar position in higher education.

SALARY :

Minimum salary - $70,000

Work Hours:

40 hours per week

Lamar State College - Port Arthur, a member of The Texas State University System, is an open-access, comprehensive public two-year college offering quality and affordable instruction leading to associate degrees and a variety of certificates.
