    St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) invites applications for a part time, position as an adjunct in the Department of Management, beginning spring 2025. St. Edward's is characterized by its commitment to the Holy Cross educational mission to educate the hearts and minds of a diverse student body that is deeply committed to social justice.

    The successful candidate will fill curricular needs on a part-time basis as need arises. This position is continuously open and qualified persons will be selected to teach undergraduate courses as the need arises. Appointments are generally made on a semester by semester basis. Specific assignments vary according to department needs each semester. Positions are renewable, contingent upon need and performance.

The Management department may have needs in the following undergraduate courses: Introduction to Business, Business Communication, Business Law, Social Responsibility of Business, Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior.

    For consideration:
    • Ph. D., relevant terminal degree or Master's degree (with 18 graduate hours in the field of teaching) is required.
    • Demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Successful candidate must complete an employment and/or criminal background check.


    Essential Responsibilities Include: Candidates should have the interest and ability or potential to teach a range of undergraduate courses and support a diverse student body.
    • Prepare and teach in one of the fields listed above according to the learning objectives set forth by the department. Teaching modality is primarily in person (face-to-face) with some flexible options; graduate courses are taught in online/hybrid modalities on Saturdays and weekday evenings.
    • Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback.
    • Provide culturally responsive teaching and mentoring services to a diverse body.
    • Utilize the university's learning management system (Canvas). Training is available.
    • Maintain professional standards and comply with all policies and procedures of the department, school, and university. Adjunct instructors must be available on campus for one office hour per week per course taught.
    • Other duties as assigned
