The Department of Natural & Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track, 9- month Assistant Professor of Mathematics position in Eagle Pass, Texas beginning August 2025.Required:

• Ph. D. in Mathematics with a broad background. ABD applicants will be considered, but appointment will be at the instructor rank and all degree requirements must be completed by February 1, 2026
• Two years of teaching experience (graduate student teaching experience accepted) in a broad range of undergraduate courses in mathematics
• Excellence in classroom instruction is a priority
• Commitment to grow the undergraduate mathematics program.
• In-person teaching and advising in Eagle Pass, Texas

Primary Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include the following:
• Teaching 12 semester credit hours per semester of face to face, hybrid, and online undergraduate courses such as geometry, calculus, differential equations, algebra, probability, and statistics.• Advising students and mentoring biology majors’ activities and organizations
Other responsibilities include:

• Demonstrating progress in research .
• Participating in curriculum development and assessment.
• Engaging in service to the department, college, and university.
