The Department of Physics & Astronomy at UCLA seeks applications for lecturer positions in the area of General Physics during the 2024-25 academic year. Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, writing and grading exams and problem sets, and supervising teaching assistants. Lecturer appointments are established according to the instructional needs of the department. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in physics or astronomy and have prior experience in teaching large undergraduate courses at the college level. Candidates should provide a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy (ca. 1 page), a statement on equity, diversion and inclusion, and complete a reference check authorization release form. The deadline for applications is December 9, 2024.

UCLA is a public research university located in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
