Job Responsibilities

The Office of Admissions seeks a Health Sciences Admissions Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the admissions/acceptance process for students entering Health Science programs. As the first point of contact for prospective students entering the Health Science majors, this position reports directly to the Director of Admissions and actively participates in admissions functions, ensuring a collaborative environment. The Office of Admissions is proud to support the college's mission: educate the individual, accelerate the economy, and inspire the future. The Health Sciences Admissions Coordinator processes hundreds of applications each semester and assists students as they begin their educational journey at Trident Technical College. The Health Sciences Admissions Coordinator's primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Collecting, evaluating, updating, and processing all applications submitted to the health science programs – including Workforce programs.· Create accurate reporting to the Director of Admissions and Deans.· Reviewing and revising all documents related to the health science application process – including student handbook/catalog and other publications.· Providing recommendations in policies/procedures related to Health Science programs to key stakeholders.· Communicate status updates to all Health Science applicants and students (including international students) regarding program eligibility requirements, status, acceptance, and confirmation through various modes of communication.· Contributes to institutional committees and participates during orientation and open advising sessions.Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a bachelor's and experience in student services programs.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and abilities:

· Experience w/Ellucian Colleague preferred.
· Strong computer skills are a must.
· Knowledge of Etrieve and CRM Recruit a plus.
· Knowledge of the philosophy of technical education to include open-door institutions.
· College, state, and federal regulations regarding the College's admission policies and procedures for specific academic programs.
· Ability to establish effective working relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff, and the general public.
· Fluency in conversational Spanish is a plus.
· Previous working experience leading workforce training and student orientation.
· Knowledge of admission and enrollment processes.
· Possess the ability to hit the ground running and maintain pace.
· Excellent customer service, written and oral communications, organizational and time management skills, and the ability to make admission decisions under established program guidelines with limited supervision.
