Description:

The Department of Engineering has an opening in its industrial and systems engineering programs for a faculty member with expertise in operations research, data science, management science, and/or similar fields. The engineering programs at Hofstra are experiencing rapid growth, and the successful applicant will contribute to the department’s ability to offer a top-tier undergraduate educational experience to our students. Hence, candidates must be effective communicators with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, be able to initiate sustained research – especially of a type that can involve advanced undergraduates – and show initiative in seeking external funding for research. Qualifications:

  • PhD in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field
  • Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in an educational environment.

Preferred Quals Summary:

  • Expertise in operations research, data science, management science, and/or similar fields.
  • Expertise in applications-driven fields such as healthcare systems, supply-chain management, or sustainability.
