Job Overview

The Carl H. Lindner College of Business, Department of Marketing, invites applications for two non-tenure track positions at the level of Assistant Professor - Educator. Initial appointment is up to three years and can be renewed. Anticipated course load is 12 credit hours per semester. This position is much like “clinical” or “field service” positions at other universities. These positions are represented by the AAUP.

While these Educator faculty positions do not require research, the department values academic research and is made up of faculty who are world-class researchers. The Educator faculty in the Department are welcome to participate in research seminars and attend presentations without the pressure of having publication requirements. We encourage our Educator faculty to bring research findings into the classroom to enhance the educational experience for our students.

Essential Functions
  • Teach undergraduate courses such as large Intro to Marketing lectures, Professional Selling, Marketing Research and/or Advertising. This includes course preparation and curriculum development, delivering course content and leading hands-on exercises, holding office hours, as well as grading and preparing assessment materials. Classes may include face-to-face and online versions.
  • Participate in curriculum/course development, develop online courses, education-related service activities such as but not limited to: advising student organizations, academic standards review and business community outreach.
Minimum Qualifications Prior to the effective date of the appointment, all of the following:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master's degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Prior experience teaching one undergraduate or graduate course in Marketing or a related area (which could have been as a teaching assistant).
