Key Responsibilities :Juniata College, a nationally ranked liberal arts college of 1200 students located in the scenic Allegheny Mountains of central Pennsylvania, anticipates hiring for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Statistics to begin August 2025. The teaching load for this position will be 21 credit hours for the academic year.
We are looking for someone with demonstrated excellence as a classroom instructor who can offer statistics and data science courses. Experience with R and the use of technology in teaching statistics and data science courses is a definite plus. Candidates who can provided mentored research opportunities in statistics and data science are preferred.The salary range for an Assistant Professor of Statistics is $67,500 to $82,500 dependent on experience. Preferably, candidates will have a Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, data science, or a related field.
Supervision Required/Given:This position reports to the Chair of the Mathematics Department.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with R and the use of technology in teaching statistics and data science courses.
