Description:

Reporting to the Vice Dean for Administrative and User Services, the Part-Time Clerk Supervisor provides friendly, high quality customer service to Library patrons and assists with Circulation/Reserve/Periodical transactions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists with check-out/check-in of library materials.
  • Provides basic information and directional assistance to library users, both in person and via telephone.
  • Answers telephone and directs callers accordingly.
  • Monitors security and facilities in the building on nights/weekends and reports problems to Public Safety.
  • Supervises student aides.
  • Records departmental statistics.
  • May perform other duties not specifically identified above but which require the same degree of skill, and which are normally included within the above job title.

Hours:Monday: 5pm – 11pmFriday: 5pm – 11pmSaturday: 9am – 5pmSunday: 12pm – 6pm
Subject to bumping

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Basic skills using Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgment, and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of general library operations preferred.
