Description: Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry

Responsibilities: Teach a 3-credit 200-level course in Analytical Chemistry and/or a 3-credit 400-level Instrumental Analysis course. Both courses have an associated 4-hour (2-credit) laboratory.

Hartwick College, a nationally ranked, selective liberal arts and sciences institution, invites applications for a position as an Adjunct Lecturer of Chemistry for the Spring 2025 Semester. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach CHEM 203 Analytical Chemistry, CHEM 203L Analytical Chemistry Laboratory, CHEM 404 Instrumental Methods of Analysis and CHEM 404L Instrumental Methods of Analysis Laboratory. The opportunity to teach in future semesters may be available.

Qualifications include ABD or Ph.D. in Chemistry. A.B.D. candidates are encouraged to apply, as this is an opportunity to gain teaching experience with coaching and mentoring by departmental faculty. Applicants should be committed to teaching excellence.

Salary Range: $830-1,100 per credit

Study Abroad and Off-Campus Study
Hartwick students travel everywhere, from Italy to India, for January Term, semester-long, or year-long programs. Athletics
Hartwick sponsors 18 intercollegiate teams, 8 for men and 10 for women. Hartwick sports compete at the NCAA Division III level. Many of Hartwick's Division III teams participate in the Empire 8 conference.
