WVU School of Music invites candidates who demonstrate success working with multiple styles of voice at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. The primary assignment is teaching applied voice employing both traditional and contemporary techniques that serve the numerous degrees and unique goals of our diverse student population. Attracting and maintaining an active studio of voice students is expected. Participation in School of Music activities and faculty governance is required. The candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a national or international professional profile through performance as a singer and/or research & creative activity. Additional teaching responsibilities may include voice pedagogy, lyric theatre / opera workshop, diction, class voice, or other duties according to the needs of the School of Music and the abilities of the candidate. A full-time, nine-month tenure-track appointment.
