Unit Mission Statement:The mission of the Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary is to serve the Commonwealth, the nation, and the global community both by offering high-quality educational programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels and by creating and communicating new knowledge.
Position Summary:Reporting to the Associate Dean of Advancement, the Associate Director of Development for Annual Giving is responsible for overseeing leadership solicitations of annual unrestricted leadership gifts to the Raymond A. Mason School of Business. The Associate Director works closely with other members of the team to implement a focused advancement strategy for the Business School to generate private support from alumni, parents, and friends of the School of Business to create a culture of lifelong engagement and philanthropy among constituents.
Conditions of Employment:• Travel will be required.
• Frequent early morning, evening and/or weekend work including travel to solicit leadership gifts to the Business School.

Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrates a strong command of fundraising principles, with a high level of organization, professionalism, and a familiarity with the objectives of annual giving.
- Experience with development database software, direct mail best practices, Windows, and knowledge of phone-a-thons.
- Proven ability to motivate, engage, and work with alumni, students, and members of the William & Mary community.
- Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and goal-oriented environment.
- Advanced degree, preferably in business or other related field.
- Front-line development experience.
- Experience working in higher education.

Advertised Pay Range:Up to $72,000 commensurate with experience and internal alignment.
