Position Summary:

The Recruitment and Community Engagement Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the recruitment strategy and community engagement efforts for UGA Auxiliary Services. This position is responsible for building and promoting a unified employment brand, developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, and directly impacting the attraction and engagement phases of the recruitment funnel. The goal is to position UGA Auxiliary Services as an employer of choice on campus and in the surrounding five-county area.

Employer Branding, Marketing and Outreach:

  • Develop and promote a unified employment brand for UGA Auxiliary Services.
  • Ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to attracting talent, collaborating with various departments.
  • Create and implement marketing strategies to communicate the employment brand effectively.
  • Utilize various channels, including social media, campus events, and partnerships with Auxiliary Marketing, to reach potential candidates.
  • Manage the Auxiliaries’ presence on platforms like LinkedIn and Handshake, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.

Recruitment Process Enhancement, Talent Sourcing and Candidate Experience:

  • Collaborate with Auxiliary HR and other units to streamline the recruitment process.
  • Implement strategies to maintain candidate engagement during the recruitment process, such as automated communications and personalized outreach.
  • Develop and utilize tools like a digital total rewards calculator to showcase the comprehensive benefits of working at UGA.
  • Proactively identify and engage with potential candidates through various sourcing methods, including social media, job boards, and networking events.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • Utilize advanced sourcing techniques, such as Boolean searches and AI tools, to find passive candidates.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by providing timely and personalized communication.
  • Gather feedback from candidates to continuously improve the recruitment process.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the candidate experience, such as virtual tours and interactive job previews.

  • Organize and participate in campus and community events to build awareness and engagement with UGA Auxiliary Services.
  • Develop initiatives such as contests, art projects, and career events to foster a stronger connection with the campus community.

  • Foster strong working relationships with all units within UGA Auxiliary Services, including Administrative Services, Dining, Housing, Transportation, and more.
  • Coordinate with these units to understand their specific recruitment needs and tailor strategies accordingly.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels to ensure alignment and collaboration across all units.
  • Work closely with unit leaders to develop joint initiatives that promote the overall mission and goals of UGA Auxiliary Services.
