This position will have an office in Athens on the UGA Campus and an office at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Typical location schedule will be Monday/Wednesday/Friday at Rock Eagle 4-H Center and Tuesday/Thursday in Athens.

Position Summary:

The Georgia 4-H IT Professional is responsible for the oversight of IT services within the state 4-H office and the 6 4-H facilities including but not limited to IT project and resource management, assisting faculty and staff maintain their software and hardware projects, troubleshooting and resolving technology issues, conducting business analysis to assess software functionality and potential needs, support of IT applications, and updating departmental websites. This work also involves maintaining data backups, ensuring network security, designing and implementation of wireless/wired networks, bringing technology in new buildings online, and the termination of multimode fiber optic and UTP cabling. This position is also responsible for CBORD access control system for facility buildings, support of point-of-sale devices, and support of specific platforms used by 4-H faculty and staff such as Raisers Edge/Financial Edge, VenueOps, 4-H Enrollment, and 4-H Event Registration applications. This position is also responsible for GA 4-H annual inventory report for Property Control. This position is responsible for supervising the Georgia 4-H IT Application Support Professional.
