Department Summary
Housed within the Fielding School, the Executive Programs Office in the Health Policy and Management Department offers two executive degree programs designed for working professionals: Executive Master of Public Health (EMPH) and Online Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA).

Position Summary
The Program Coordinator will support the Executive Master of Public Health (EMPH) and Online Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) programs as part of the Executive Programs in health Policy and Management (HPM) team. This position will be supervised by the Director of Executive Programs in HPM. Duties include but are not limited to analysis of projects related to self-supporting degree and non-degree programs, educational program planning, outreach, social media, database management, report preparation, communications regarding courses and sites, project planning for website development, maintenance of program calendar, and representation of Executive Programs to students and visitors, and other duties as assigned. Working hours include some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications
  • Direction Experience in establishing priorities and working on a self-directed basis. (Required)
  • Communication Experience and tact in communicating and interpreting information and policy changes to applicants, staff, faculty, and visitors. (Required)
  • Customer Service Demonstrated experience working with healthcare professionals and individuals at various organization levels, diverse backgrounds, and groups of different sizes. (Required)
  • Writing Familiarity and experience preparing, editing and modifying documents including creative writing skills to compose marketing and promotional materials. (Required)
  • Educational Programs Experience in organizing and planning outreach, educational and alumni meetings and events involving on and off campus constituents. (Required)
  • University Setting Experience with University policies and procedures related to graduate admissions, student affairs, financial aid, finance, general accounting, purchasing, equipment and facilities. (Preferred)
  • Miscellaneous Experience with event registration, fee collection, preparing materials and analysis of marketing and exit surveys. (Preferred)
  • Skill in working as a team member with Program Directors, Student Affairs Officers, faculty, special readers, staff and visitors. (Required)
  • Skill in working independently on projects with minimal supervision, gathering and analyzing data to follow through and prepare reports to summarize findings. (Required)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish reciprocal and productive working relationships with the Department, School, University, students, alumni, and the healthcare community to coordinate program planning and project staff. (Required)
  • Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information sensitively and appropriately. (Required)
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities and frequent interruptions. (Required)
  • Ability to analyze and research large amounts of data with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. (Required)
  • Demonstrated skill in utilizing and troubleshooting computer hardware (including PCs, scanner, printers) and software (including word processing, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing and graphics programs). (Required)
  • Skill in development and management of multiple databases. Demonstrated skill in documentation of database and financial procedures. (Required)
  • Skill in researching and purchasing instructional supplies (textbooks & readers), computer and multimedia equipment, and furniture utilizing various vendors. (Required)
  • Working hours include some evenings and weekends. (Required)
  • Skill in instructing executive students on financial aid policies and procedures, Bruin Learn, Bruin-Online, BruinBuy, BAR, URSA and the UCLA Library System. (Preferred)
  • Ability to utilize on-line systems including Hubspot, OASIS and Student Information System to track, retrieve and change student data as appropriate. (Preferred)

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
