Assistant Director, Graduate Programs Annual Giving - Office of Advancement

The Assistant Director for Graduate Programs Annual Giving supports the development and deployment of a comprehensive and strategic direct response fundraising to build a sustainable base of support for Georgetown University's Graduate Programs. Primary responsibilities include:
- Support the deployment of an annual direct response fundraising strategy for Georgetown University Graduate Programs in the service of fundraising goals.
- Support the strategy and deployment of special fundraising initiatives, including student giving and reunion fundraising.
- Work closely with Annual Giving colleagues to ensure on time delivery of direct response marketing and manage regular reporting on performance and progress to goals.
- Partner with development and alumni engagement colleagues to support engagement initiatives, events and programs.
Work Interactions
The Annual Giving team within the Office of Advancement (OA) drives donor acquisition, retention and growth for Georgetown University through traditional and innovative direct-response marketing strategies, in-depth analysis, and strong internal partnerships. The Annual Giving team comprises three functional areas: data and analytics, marketing operations, and unit strategies. The Graduate Programs Annual Giving team is part of the unit strategies functional area, and this position reports directly to the Director, Graduate Programs Annual Giving. Key partnerships include:
- Annual Giving Marketing Operations and Data Analytics and Strategy teams
- OA Communications Team
- McDonough, McCourt, School of Continuing Studies (SCS), and other partner graduate programs, including unit development, leadership, faculty/staff, alumni, donors and students
- Other Office of Advancement and Georgetown University partners as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-2 years of experience in direct response marketing, development/fundraising, or similar, required, preferably in higher education
- Self-motivated but able to work well on a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Extremely well-organized and detail-oriented
- Able to successfully handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines and goals
- Able to assimilate data, exercise sound judgment and discretion, and work independently
- Accuracy in materials preparation and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$41,926.00 - $65,090.00
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
