This is a campus based position. It covers teaching and service responsibilities appropriate for the rank of Assistant Professor.Minimum QualificationsRequired Education:Doctorate or equivalent terminal degreeDiscipline / Degree Area:Political ScienceRequired Specialized Training/Certifications:Ancient, Medieval modern, and American political theory, and American government.Required Minimum Work Experience:Earned Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Required minimum work experience appropriate for an assistant professor which includes some academic and teaching experience.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:Ability to teach modern political theory, ancient political theory, American political theory, American government and introduction to political science. Excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills. Commitment to undergraduate education and demonstrated excellence in teaching.

3) To identify, plan, and support activities that will encourage, promote, and recognize diversity on campus.
4) To evaluate the effectiveness of the Committee’s efforts and make adjustments to continually improve, including if necessary, recommending changes to the Committee’s charge.
5) To direct the President’s attention to issues regarding diversity on campus and in the surrounding communities.
6) To submit a report that enumerates and evaluates the Committee’s activities and makes recommendations, including recommendations regarding resource allocation, to the President by June 1 each year.
