Job Details

The Technology and Computer Studies division is currently accepting applications for adjunct instructors for Maryland Blueprint course sections that may be potentially offered at WCPS high schools in the upcoming academic year.

Applicants must be current WCPS high school teachers. Applications will be accepted for those who can teach in the following area(s) or discipline(s):

  • Business Administration, Marketing, and Management: ECO-201, ECO-202, MGT-103, MGT-104
  • Computer Science: CSC 134, CSC 109
  • Electrical Engineering Technology: ELE 105
  • Cybersecurity: CYB 101
  • Information Systems Technology: IST 166, IST 155
  • Commercial Vehicle Transportation: TRK 108, TRK 110
  • Unmanned Aerial Systems: ELE 130, ELE 131

Instructors will work with division directors and the full-time faculty to deliver the same course-specific instructional content that is taught at the main campus or online. Course-specific common assignments for student learning outcome assessments are also required.

APPLICANTS MUST BE CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS WITH WASHINGTON COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

Hagerstown Community College (HCC) was founded in 1946 as the first of its kind in Maryland. More than 100 programs of study are available for university transfer, career preparation, and personal enrichment. HCC also offers non-credit continuing education courses and customized training programs, as well as remedial and developmental courses to help students prepare for college-level offerings. Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, HCC awards associate degrees, certificates, and letters of recognition.

 

HCC employs approximately 540 individuals each year in full and part-time positions. Hundreds of student workers and campus volunteers also serve the campus community.
