The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology, is recruiting a Post Doctoral Fellow.
Essential Functions- Serve as a seasoned level researcher in the field of Head and Neck Cancer and/or Radiation biology and/or immuno-oncology.
- Contribute to analysis of “big data” and bioinformatics with co-mentorship from a Bioinformatics faculty member.
- Establish possible targets and/or biomarkers and perform wet lab experiments to test specific hypotheses.
- Make independent contributions to projects and studies based on professional training or functional experience.
- Solve problems using combined research knowledge.
- Analyze research results.
- Organize data search and analysis procedures.
- Assist in establishing test controls, criteria and research standards.
- Assists in the design of complex data processing systems to analyze research data.
Doctoral Degree in the appropriate field or discipline, or the recognized terminal degree.
Required Experience- In-depth knowledge of specialized field, process or discipline.
- May require experience with specialized software programs.
