Job Title:Global Education Administrative Senior Coordinator

Department:International Affairs | Education Abroad Administration

This position supports Ohio State's international dimension by providing customer service, advice and consultation, and risk management services to the Global Education Team.

Duties include providing services to students and the team of Global Education specialists, such as: maintaining data integrity in software solutions, overseeing related course set-ups in the student information system, and record processes associated with student, faculty, and staff engaging in research and educational activities abroad; overseeing the assessment and payment of student abroad applications, program, and cancellation fees, and providing information to the study abroad fiscal team to assist with the reconciliation of study abroad programs; utilizing Ohio State software, supporting complex workflows that interface with various campus partners (e.g., Business Operations and Office of Student Conduct), assists in information management and retention. This position will also support multiple Study Abroad scholarship processes, including program set-up, application workflow management, materials preparation for review, acceptance, and student records. Supporting risk management by assessing and collecting payment for students, faculty and staff in supplemental insurance; maintaining travel registry, verifying enrollment, and assessing and collecting supplemental insurance payments; maintaining files in the student information system; overseeing application, acceptance, and records processes associated with student, faculty and staff engaging in research and educational activities abroad.

The position also oversees the payment of education abroad application fees, the assessment and payment of other global education charges, and issues refunds as necessary; responds to inquiries from internal and external partners to assist with overall management of the programs; provides support for multiple global education scholarship processes, including but not limited to management of application workflow, preparation of materials for review, acceptance, and student records. The position may supervise student assistants.

Responsibilities

30% Provide services to students and the Global Education specialists, including problem resolution and maintaining data in the relevant systems; maintain the quality control of application workflow, and student records associated with student, faculty and staff engaging in research and educational activities abroad, ensuring organizational standards are met.

25% Oversee the assessment and payment of Global Education application, administrative, program, and cancellation fees; provide information to the Global Education fiscal team to assist with the reconciliation of programs. Facilitate problem resolution when needed.

20 % Auxiliary systems support; create and maintain program data for Global Education programs in the designated software.

20% Provide administrative support to multiple Global Education scholarship competitions and scholarship processes, including but not limited to: program setup, assisting in application workflow, preparation of materials for review, notification of acceptance, and maintenance of student records.

5% Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience. One year experience (1000 hours course work or training) in customer service or communications, including analyzing & interpreting information; 6 months experience (600 hours training) in operation of computer and related peripheral equipment; 3 mos. experience (300 hrs. course work) in information research & analysis or equivalent combination of education and experience

Desired Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree Desired

Desired candidate would have demonstrated experience resolving complex issues; comfortable having difficult conversations;
Demonstrated maturity and resilience during periods of stress.

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $18.17 - $22.88 The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
