Job Description:
Weber State University’s Electrical and Computer Engineering department invites applications for a full-time assistant professor in the discipline of Electrical or Computer Engineering to begin in Fall 2025. Overload and summer teaching opportunities are available for additional pay.
Job Duties:
Faculty will teach a standard load of 12 credits per semester, including hands-on labs. Tenure-track faculty are also expected to pursue scholarly activities and perform university-related service.
Required Qualifications:
All applicants are required to have at least two years of applicable professional industry/laboratory experience. Applicants are required to have expertise in any area of Electrical or Computer Engineering except machine learning and AI. Applicants whose primary area of expertise is machine learning or AI will not be considered.
Applicants must have a minimum of a PhD degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related discipline and show evidence of ability to teach a wide variety of undergraduate electrical engineering courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who are able to teach and develop graduate level courses.

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision: Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position: None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
