Department InformationThe Department of Mathematics and Statistics is a unit of the School of Computing. The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with the options of an Applied Statistics, General Mathematics, or Secondary Education track. The department also offers a minor in Mathematics and Statistics. These programs provide students with the analytical and problem-solving skills required to advance in today's workforce.
Job SummaryThe Department of Mathematics & Statistics within the School of Computing at Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor to teach day and evening classes in mathematics.
ResponsibilitiesTeaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of mathematics courses in the program (https://www.mga.edu/computing/mathematics-statistics/index.php) Teaching responsibilities will include day and/or evening classes. The primary teaching responsibilities will be in the Macon Campus, however, travel between campuses (Cochran, Dublin, Macon, and Warner Robins) will be required. Required QualificationsRequired Educational Qualifications
PhD or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or related discipline.
Other Required Qualifications
Reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor.
