Summary of Position: Digital transformation is the overarching discipline that encompasses how businesses integrate digital technologies, including AI, into all aspects of their operation from a strategic position that applies best practices in continuous process improvement. This field covers the strategic implementation of AI across various business functions such as operations, supply chain management, logistics, project management and overall management.AI is increasingly becoming a critical component of business strategy. AI-driven data analytics are vital for making informed strategic decisions, forecasting, and gaining competitive advantages.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibility for current and future programs on overall business management, supply chain, operations, logistics, continuous process improvement, project management and digital strategy implementation
- Scholarship and research development regarding best practices in the field of logistics, supply chain, continuous process improvement, digital transformation, project management and overall management. Additionally, committee service and other duties assigned by the Chair of the Business Division and DBTL Dean
- Oversight of existing or future programs in logistics, supply chain, overall business management, continuous process improvement, project management and digital transformation
Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
- Terminal degree in business administration or similar discipline
- MBA or MS in logistics, supply chain, general business management and PMP certifications
Experience
- High level management experience (executive, director or managing director), supply chain, vast array of experience in management
- Extensive responsibility over change management teams regarding digital transformation and project management, human resources, supply chain or multiple retail stores
Required Skills
- Overarching technical competencies regarding business transformation (Salesforce, Microsoft BI etc.)
- Expertise in change management specifically in the area of digital transformation
- Strategic thinker with the ability to architect a comprehensive plan to assist organizations to adapt to constantly changing market conditions
