Description:
The Department of Sociology at Tulane University invites applications for full-time, one-and-a-half-year appointment Visiting Assistant Professor starting January 2025 and running through the 2025-2026 academic year. The teaching load is 3 courses per semester and the candidate would be expected to teach introductory-level topics courses such as Social Problems, Sociology of the Family, Sociology of Race and Ethnicity, Gender & Society, Sexuality & Society, etc. (depending on candidate expertise) and Foundations in Sociology (our introductory course for majors and minors).
Qualifications:
A PhD or equivalent terminal degree is required by the start date.
