About the CECHThe College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH), at the University of Cincinnati, is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. Job OverviewThe Center for Youth Futures (CYF) in the Office for Innovations & Community Partnerships (EICP) out of the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH) is seeking a Senior Financial Administrator to coordinate and monitor fiscal procedures, monitor program data, and prepare reports.
CECH has developed programs to provide readiness initiatives for students in Cincinnati Public Schools and other districts throughout the school year and with summer residential program components. In addition to developing college readiness skills, opportunities for school students and University of Cincinnati students to interact with one another in a mentoring relationship has been provided. These programs require fiscal management, reporting, and coordination.
The person in this position will work closely and in person at the Victory Parkway Campus with staff in CYF who currently manage and deliver the readiness programs. Related duties will include program data management and information coordination.
Essential Functions- Coordinate and monitor fiscal administrative duties.
- Assist in the development of unit policies and procedures.
- Monitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations.
- Implement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Prepare reports.
- May process personnel transactions for an operating unit in a limited capacity.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
- Bachelor’s Degree must be in accounting or related field.
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Three (3) years of experience in accounting or finance.
Additional Qualifications Considered- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word (formatting, mail-merge, etc.), Excel, PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with Qualtrics or similar survey management platforms.
- Proficiency with on-line data management systems.
- Webpage management skills.
- Capable of communicating with other staff to explain policies and procedures.
