The appointee will join the Faculty of Business (https://www.ln.edu.hk/fb/) and will be expected to conduct research projects and publish outputs with high impact, teach courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and participate in academic and professional activities. In particular, the appointee is expected to apply for external competitive grants and commit to teaching excellence and active services to the Faculty and the University. Candidates are required to provide evidence of their research records and quality teaching. A proven record in academic leadership and institutional service would be a distinct advantage.


General Requirements


Candidates should have (i) a PhD degree in Information Systems or a relevant discipline; (ii) a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals in Information Systems and relevant areas; (iii) a good track record in competitive grant applications; and (iv) relevant teaching experience.


For appointment of Associate Professor, candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in research and teaching, with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and a soundtrack record in teaching and competitive grant applications in relevant areas. Top-tier journal publications and successful GRF applications would be a distinct advantage. For appointment of Assistant Professor, candidates should have a good research record and demonstrate strong potential in publishing high-quality papers. Relevant work experience is not required but would be a plus.


Lingnan University pursues excellence in both teaching and research. The appointee is expected to conduct research projects and publish outputs with high impact, teach courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and participate in academic and professional activities. In particular, the appointee is expected to apply for an external competitive grant and commit to teaching excellence and active services to the Department, the Faculty, and the University. Applicants should provide information on their work experience, qualifications, research records, and evidence of quality teaching. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.


Appointment


The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee. Appointment will normally be made on an initial contract of three years, which, subject to review and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment with possibility of consideration for substantiation.
