Jacksonville State University is excited to announce an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Physical Geography. Starting in Fall 2025, this position offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, student-centered program that emphasizes hands-on learning, engaged student mentoring, and faculty-led research. The Department of Chemistry and Geosciences of Jacksonville State University is seeking to hire a scholar for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Entry level starting salary is $54,000.
We are looking for an enthusiastic scholar specializing in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial technologies, with a strong focus on applying these tools to both teaching and research in physical geography.
