Responsibilities

This is a 9 month Assistant Professor tenure-track appointment in the College of Social Work. Candidates are expected to establish research agendas with the goal of securing external funding that foster collaborative, fundable research in areas such as health, behavioral health, substance use, criminal justice, immigration, human rights, gerontology, and other key areas of social work research. Candidates are expected to teach either new or existing courses based on their expertise. Candidates will participate in professional service as expected of all traditional faculty.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor. We are particularly interested in those with expertise in advanced or innovative methodologies including but not limited to using artificial intelligence, advanced machine learning for predictive modeling, and big data approaches in their substantive areas of research. Candidates should show a strong commitment to advancing cultural and community engagement in their research, teaching, and service.
