The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine seeks a physiatrist who is board admissible or board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for an inpatient and outpatient Neurorehabilitation practice in a growing department as an Assistant or Associate Professor.

The ideal candidate will provide clinical services in our main campus clinics and will focus on stroke and general rehabilitation medicine; they will also participate in medical student, PM&R resident teaching and research activities.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Will provide 4-5 outpatient sessions per week UHealth and Lynn Rehabilitation Center and manage an inpatient service at Lynn Rehabilitation Center

  • Care for patients in the UHealth and Jackson Health System outpatient settings

  • Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences • Active participation in the training program of the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital PM&R Residency Training Program and Brain Injury Fellowship Program

  • Provide teaching to students, residents, and fellows in both the inpatient and outpatient settings

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Physical and Medicine Residency, Fellowship Trained in Traumatic Brain Injury Medicine

Certification and Licensing:

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Traumatic Brain Injury Medicine Experience: No prior experience needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Good communications skills

  • Excellent customer service skills Ability to work collaboratively with other employees

  • Good organizational skills
