Description:Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is pleased to invite applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Department of Mathematics.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching a variety of non-mathematics-major courses including College Algebra (Math 6A), Elementary Statistics (Math 8), Exploring Mathematics (Math 30A), Linear Math and Matrices (Math 40), Logic, Sets, and Probability (Math 45), Basic Calculus and Basic Calculus with Applications (Math 61a and 61), Precalculus (Math 50), Calculus I (Math 71) and Calculus II (Math 72).
● Bachelor’s degree required● Master’s degree in Mathematics or related field● Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in an educational environment
Preferred Quals Summary:- Experience teaching mathematics at the college level
- Evidence of effective teaching
