Position Summary:Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director, Student Affairs Information Technology (SAIT) - Boca Raton, FL
Summary of Responsibilities:
The IT Manager provides support for the technology requirements of departments within the Division of Student Affairs, as a member of the Technology Services team. The position manages a team of professional staff and interns, which delivers technology services to address the needs of staff and students. Identifies, designs, implements, and maintains technical assistance and solutions to all departments within the Division of Student Affairs, and provides training for staff as needed. At the direction of the Director or Associate Director of Student Affairs, the position provides services for assigned department(s).
Primary responsibility for planning, recommending, developing, and implementing software solutions to problems and circumstances relating to computer technology in accordance with the Student Affairs Division’s mission.
Assists the Director in providing leadership and oversight for large IT projects and initiatives in the division, meeting timelines as needed.
Responsible for the installation, evaluation, implementation, automation, integration, analysis, maintenance, and problem resolution for all workstations.
Diagnoses software, desktop, and network problems of moderate to high complexity with divisional staff, university departmental groups, and vendors, taking appropriate action to resolve or escalate.
Manages the user workstation refreshment cycle and leads the IT team in the imaging and maintenance of these devices, making sure to keep the division inventory and Intune databases up to date.
Provides customer service for all user or department needs, including group scheduling, email, printing, network file sharing, websites, client backups, databases, and other web-based computing requirements.
Maintains relationships with management and staff to identify and meet requirements related to technical solutions.
Maintains IT documentation, including application deployment, user access, procedures, and software license control.
Develops and maintains business continuity plans and incident response protocols for preparation, response, and recovery.
Responsible for verifying technology orders for the division, both computers and software.
Hires, trains, and supervises IT interns who work in the department.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience required.Excellent verbal and written skills required.
Experience with troubleshooting PC, printer, AV and networking problems required.
