(Contingent upon available funding): 39,175.00 - 54,000.00, Salary Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Nights and weekends as needed. Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: Responsible for the implementation of the goals and objectives of the Talent Search Program. Responsible for the management of student files, including documentation of services provided based upon program guidelines. Acts as a liaison between the target schools and post-secondary institutions which requires frequent driving to those schools. Participate in staff meetings, in-service programs, workshops, other professional development activities, and other duties as assigned. Special Instructions to Applicants Education & Experience Position Qualifications: Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in education/social scienceOne year of experience working with low-income, first-generation, or minority students. Experience working with students from a diverse background.A valid driver's licenseKnowledge of academic needs of low-income, first-generation and minority students; knowledge of collegiate academic and financial aid processes; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in education/social scienceTRiO experience or experience as a participant in a Talent Search Program. Five years' experience in academic counseling, social services, education, or community services. Two years of assessment experience.
