THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION

Job Summary: 

The Counselor at OSU Medicine - Behavioral Medicine Clinic reports directly tothe Director of Psychology Services and is primarily responsible for providinga wide array of counseling services to school-aged students grades Kindergarten– 12th and up to adult patient population.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provide school-based mental health counseling to students via a virtual format.
Implement theory and evidence-based therapy programs and services.
Utilize technology as appropriate for off-site client locations.
Build community relations with efforts of establishing a referral platform.
Provide statistical reports regarding engagement of services.
Provide complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirement: 
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 pounds. Ability to stoop, reach,stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitivemotions with or without reasonable accommodations. Sufficient to conductspecific job functions of a Counselor.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Qualifications: 
Master’s degree in social work or counseling, orclosely related mental health field required.
Minimum of 2 year’s experience in counseling or mental health setting.
Licensed as a mental health professional in the state of Oklahoma
Valid Driver's License
Experience facilitating individual counseling with child/adolescent clients.

Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge: 
Background in working with school-aged students
Experience working within a K-12 educational system that is implementingmulti-tiered system of support to address behavioral and mental healthconcerns.
Ability to empathize with diverse clients.
Experience in developing, teaching, and presenting behavioral health relatedclasses and activity-based workshops.
