The Department of Communication & Media Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Communication, to begin August 1, 2025. The successful candidate will have expertise in interpersonal/relational communication and/or social influence. A Ph.D. in Communication is required; ABD candidates with an expected completion date by the time of appointment will be considered.

We seek a colleague with expertise in interpersonal/relational communication and/or social influence. We are especially interested in candidates whose work complements departmental strengths in organizational, intercultural, and mediated communication. Ideal candidates will be broadly trained teacher-scholars who can teach a variety of current undergraduate courses and who will help to develop our program for the future by creating curricular and co-curricular opportunities that enrich our liberal arts tradition. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship.
