This Faculty member teaches upper-division Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) courses in Accounting to students pursuing a Bachelor Degree.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Develops curricula
  • Maintains department standards
  • Recruits and participates in retention of students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements

•Doctorate degree in Accounting or Business Administration with 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting; or Master’s degree in Accounting; or Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting; or Master’s degree Taxation and a valid CPA license
•All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Documented experience with applied teaching and learning methodologies
•Ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
•Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
•Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments
