This position is continuously open and qualified persons will be selected to teach face-to-face undergraduate courses (College Algebra, Math for Business, Precalculus, Quantitative Reasoning, and the Corequisite Support Courses associated with each of these) as the need arises. Appointments are generally made on a semester-by-semester basis. Positions are renewable, contingent upon need and performance.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mathematics is required. An advanced degree in mathematics education or a related field will be considered if the application clearly documents at least 18 graduate credit hours in graduate-level mathematics courses. - Facility in online communication via email, learning management systems, and online homework platforms.
- Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required.
Responsibilities

This entails following a common syllabus, utilizing online homework (MyOpenMath, MyMathLab, or ALEKS) and learning management systems (Canvas), holding at least one on-campus office hour per week per section, and keeping in contact with the course coordinator, primarily by email, for common assignments and exams. Class size is generally 24-30 students; (current as of Fall 2024) per 3-credit course section.
