This role involves promoting our culinary arts program in schools, assisting with recruiting events, and supporting classroom activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to inspiring the next generation of chefs and food enthusiasts.
Nicolet College is a comprehensive two-year college located on the shores of Lake Julia in Wisconsin's beautiful Northwoods region. We seek a thoughtful, innovative, enthusiastic, and student-friendly professional to join our team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Program Marketing:

  • Represent the culinary arts program at various school events, including open houses, cupcake wars, career fairs, and community events and classes.
  • Distribute promotional materials such as flyers and brochures.
  • Conduct presentations and demonstrations to showcase the program's offerings and benefits to students, parents, and school staff.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content for the program's website and social media platforms.
  • Recruiting:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of recruiting events aimed at prospective students.
  • Provide information and guidance to potential students and their families about the program's curriculum, enrollment process, and career opportunities.
  • Work with school counselors and administrators to identify and reach out to students interested in culinary arts.
  • Classroom Support:
  • Assist instructors during culinary arts classes with setting up equipment, preparing ingredients, and cleaning up after lessons.
  • Provide hands-on support to Instructors during practical cooking sessions, ensuring safety and proper technique.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Promote an educational philosophy that places the primary emphasis on student learning in the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of various ages, learning styles, academic levels, and cultural backgrounds in classroom and non-classroom settings.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships across the College and in the district, working with diverse student, staff, and community populations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in culinary arts or culinary management or working towards an associate's degree or higher in culinary arts or culinary management preferred.
  • Prior experience in culinary arts, either in a professional kitchen or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of marketing and recruitment strategies is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to various school locations as required. May use a school vehicle.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • The employee must have fine motor skills: pick up and grasp small objects, pinch/squeeze or work with fingers, twist/turn objects using hands.
  • The employee will be constantly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • The employee will be frequently required to sit, touch/handle/grasp (using hands and fingers), reach with hands and arms, climb, and type/write.
  • Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hear normal speaking-level sounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, far, and field of vision.
