Job Details
The purpose of this position is to provide space comfort for the entire campus community and the buildings they occupy. The person in this role will install, maintain, and service building and departmental heating ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. This position coordinates work with other trades and must be certified to perform work to levels set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency. The person in this role must be able to diagnose complex equipment problems, use sophisticated diagnostic equipment and EPA approved refrigerant reclaim equipment. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair refrigeration and cooling equipment; conduct seasonal chiller inspections and related operations/maintenance; maintain and repair refrigeration equipment on campus in accordance with EPA specified guidelines; maintain and repair air and water cooled equipment; maintain and repair ice machines, drinking fountains, and other auxiliary equipment
Requirements and Knowledge:
- A high school diploma/GED required
