Position Summary
The University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Business is inviting applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor in Finance. Primary duties will include teaching finance at the graduate and undergraduate level, engaging in a research program that results in published articles in outstanding scholarly publications and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University.

Detailed Position Information
The Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies at the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance beginning August 16, 2025. Primary duties include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in outstanding scholarly publications, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University.

Minimum Qualifications
(1) A doctoral degree in Finance or Economics (in hand or completed by August 16, 2025); (2) a high-quality research agenda, and current working/published papers; (3) demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

The candidate selected for this position will be required to submit a disclosure and consent form authorizing a background investigation. Interviews will be held via Zoom, at the 2024 FMA meetings in Grapevine, TX, and possibly at the 2025 AFA meetings in San Francisco. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
