The School of Communication is seeking a Programming Coordinator for the Bill Cosford Cinema to help promote events at the theater, run the cinema’s online platforms and occasionally help managing events in person. Reporting to the Bill Cosford Cinema manager, s/he will raise awareness of the cinema’s programming to students and the community. This is a salaried, temporary staff position and does not include benefits.
Primary responsibilities:
Manage the social media feeds of the cinema on Twitter and especially Instagram, which has a larger reach than any of our other platforms.
Compose the cinema’s weekly newsletter alerting patrons on our mailing list about each week’s events.
Maintain the Cosford Cinema’s website with upcoming programming.
Preparing customer invoices for review by the Business Office, then submitting the invoices to customers after approval.
Contacting customers regarding past due accounts.
On-site help at the cinema checking patrons in during public screenings at the Cosford.
Occasionally operating the cinema projector during certain screenings (training will be provided).
Collaborate with Cosford Cinema manager Rene Rodriguez on upcoming events and how best to promote them.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma.
One year of relevant work experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
