Description:The Frank G. Zarb School of Business is inviting applications for an anticipated tenure-track faculty position in Finance beginning in the fall of 2025.
Applicants will be considered as an Assistant or Associate Professor. Rank is dependent upon the applicant’s teaching experience and publication record. Preference will be given to candidates whose primary area of teaching and research is in finance with an interest in corporate finance, international finance, financial markets and institutions, derivatives or quantitative finance; although strong candidates in other areas will also be considered.
Hofstra University emphasizes excellence in teaching. Candidates will be expected to teach graduate (MBA, MSF and MS in Quantitative Finance) and undergraduate finance courses; in the classroom and on-line. In addition, candidates must have a commitment to research which leads to quality refereed publications. The university provides excellent support for faculty teaching and research, including access to CRSP and COMPUST AT via WRDS interface, DataStream and Bloomberg Professional terminals in the Martin B. Greenberg Academic Trading Room. Service to the university and the profession is also expected.

- Candidates must have a PhD or DBA with specialization in Finance from an AACSB-accredited business program. ABDs in advanced dissertation stages will be considered for a non-tenure track appointment. Tenure-track status requires a degree in-hand by August 2025.
- Candidates should have potential for excellent teaching and research.
- Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in an educational environment.
- Candidates whose primary area of teaching and research is in finance with an interest in corporate finance, international finance, financial markets and institutions, derivatives or quantitative finance
