General Summary of Position:
As a temporary member of Counseling Services, the successful candidate will provide mental health services for diverse student population until June 30, 2025. Counseling Clinician will also work collaboratively as a member of the Wellness Center team to support students at UMass Lowell.
UML CS Staff provide culturally competent clinical services including triage screenings, intake evaluations, diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, brief individual, couples, and group counseling/psychotherapy, and community referrals for mental health and/or psychiatric treatment. Initiate voluntary and involuntary hospitalization of at risk students as clinically indicated and coordinate care with UML Police/EMS or psychiatric crisis team as appropriate.
