Responsibilities

The candidates will be expected to develop a program of research within the realm of school psychology, teach graduate courses in school psychology, supervise student research, and serve on doctoral committees.

The candidates will be expected to provide service to the program, department, college, and university.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in School Psychology (or a degree program with specialization in school psychology) from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

Preferred Qualifications

It is preferred that the candidates be licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in Florida. Candidates with interest in conducting and teaching psychological assessments are encouraged to apply.

Other Information

The program is seeking two candidates with clear expressed interest in school psychology training, research, and professional issues. The successful candidates will demonstrate an aptitude for conducting research, teaching, and mentoring graduate students, as well as a commitment to both the Ed.S. School Psychology program and the Combined Doctoral Program in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology. We are seeking candidates who will contribute to strengthening program quality and student recruitment and assure continued accreditation. The successful candidates will also demonstrate experience and evidence of quality teaching of core school psychology courses, and engagement at state and/or national levels within school-psychology professional associations. We are seeking candidates with evidence of strong scholarship and evidence of (or potential for) extramural research grant funding in an area that is consistent with school-psychology research.
