Responsibilities

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Florida State University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Sustainable and/or Environmental Chemistry, a priority growth area at all levels for the Department and University. The interdisciplinary areas of interest include, but are not limited to, catalysis, measurement science, renewable energy, green synthesis, and recycling/circular chemistry.

Multiple opportunities for collaboration existing in Sustainable and/or Environmental Chemistry exist across the University, which boasts several world-class Centers and Institutes (https://www.fsu.edu/academics/centers.html). Our new Aspire plan focuses on resources to aid excellence in research (https://aspire.fsu.edu/report/).

The successful candidate will be expected to develop nationally and internationally recognized and externally supported research programs in addition to teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or highest degree appropriate a related field with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Applicants with creative research interests in all subfields of chemistry relating to Sustainable and/or Environmental Chemistry are encouraged to apply.
