Organizational Unit Overview 	
It is the mission of the Department of Pediatrics, East Carolina University School of Medicine, to provide exemplary medical education/training of physicians in pediatric medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, it is the mission of the department to provide model comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of eastern North Carolina, to advance scientific knowledge through basic and clinical research, and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region.
Job Duties 	
The Department of Pediatrics at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC is seeking an academic general pediatrician to serve as a hospitalist. The academic general pediatrician will provide direct patient care to patients on the Pediatric Ward as well as excellent medical education (teaching) for residents, medical students, nursing students, and other learners.
This opportunity is available for either clinical track or tenure track at the title/rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, or Professor. Number of years practicing and accomplishments varies for clinical track/tenure track at each title/rank.

Minimum Education/Experience	
MD or DO from an appropriately accredited institution, or completed foreign medical education accepted and recognized for ECFMG Certification. Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of North Carolina. Board Certified or eligible for board certification. NRP/PALS certification.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation: 	
North Carolina Medical License and Board Certification/Eligibility in Pediatrics.
