Position Summary:

Position Summary:

The position of Healthcare Careers Lab Assistant supports healthcare lab activities as well as CPR classes offered through the FCC American Heart Association Training Center. This position will assist with management of supply inventory, ordering and restocking supplies to support healthcare labs and will ensure labs are well-organized, clean, and orderly at all times. The assistant will also support adjuncts with technical assistance and lab and class set-up and breakdown. This position must work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:1. Prepare CPR equipment/supplies prior to each class.2. Maintain accurate equipment and supplies inventory for all Healthcare Careers programs; order supplies as needed with team members in the Healthcare Careers area.3. Assist with preparation of lab materials, supplies, and equipment across multiple programs as requested by Healthcare Career adjuncts.4. Aid with laundry and wipe down tables and chairs between classes, as requested.5. Respond to student, faculty, and staff issues in accordance with College policies and procedures.6. Follow guidelines in handling and disposing of hazardous materials; prepare biohazard boxes for quarterly pickup.7. Ensure compliance with College policies and procedures, MHEC best practices, and any applicable external licensure or accrediting requirements.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

1. At least one (1) year working experience in the nursing, phlebotomy, dental, sterile processing or other similar healthcare field
