We look forward to hearing from you!The Office of Student Conduct is responsible for the administration of the University's conduct system through the Student Rights and Responsibilities Code for all three University campuses. It oversees the Alcohol Policy and compliance operations, implements Direct Administrative Actions for suspension and/or expulsion cases (locally and abroad), serves on the University Threat Assessment Review Committee (TARC), collaborates with the University Counseling Center, Title IX and Sexual Misconduct offices, Access and Opportunity, the Behavior Intervention Team (BIT), and oversees the Housing Student Conduct Officers and procedures. Student Conduct oversees all student code cases, investigations, and formal and informal sanction monitoring for students and organizations on all three campuses. Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Office of Student Conduct, the Coordinator for Student Conduct Services and Support assists in the implementation and administration of the University student conduct process for students. The incumbent coordinates student conduct processes, serves as a university hearing officer, maintains and monitors the student conduct database system and facilitates alternative dispute resolution.What you will do:Serve as a university hearing officer for individual and student organizational cases.Maintain and monitor the student conduct database system by tracking case progression, auditing cases to ensure sanctions are being completed. issue and release student conduct holds, and ensure that cases are closed when appropriate.Serve as Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Restoration office liaison for the Student Housing Conduct Process.Develop, implement, and facilitate training for campus hearing officers and other university constituents including students.Develop, implement, and facilitate training on university policy, procedures and guidelines for university and community constituents.Serve as an informal resolution process facilitator.Organize conflict resolution gatherings and dialogues including, but not limited to scheduling circles/meetings, monitoring referrals, locating meeting spaces, arranging spaces for the gatherings, and preparing appropriate paperwork for gatherings. Prepare correspondence and documentation of Impartial Hearing Panel cases.Communicate with law enforcement, medical professionals, housing and other officials on student conduct crisis related matters.Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and reporting mandates.Research, develop, and implement best practices for student conduct administration.Monitor and facilitate assessment tools for the office.Designs, implements, and manages designated student programs and services.Assists with program planning, development, and delivery.Plans and coordinates activities, events, or special projects.Researches, collects, and analyzes data or information and prepares reports or responses to inquires.Serves as liaison with offices on and off campus.Provides information and counseling to students, facilitating support groups, and advising student organizations.Oversees data and record maintenance, to include but not limited to student files, inventory, personnel, and other office files.Attends events or meetings and serves on committees.Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Job Location
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree, AND:
- 12 months of student programming, student services, or closely related experience.
- Sit for long periods of time.Occasionally walk and stand.Ability to bend, lift, stoop, and carry.Ability to engage in repetitive motions.Communicate effectively. Standard office environment.Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods.Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
